Eshott is only a short distance from Alnwick Garden, Alnwick Castle, Amble, Bamburgh, Craster, Embleton, the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Dunstanburgh, Rothbury, Warkworth, Seahouses, Wooler, the stunning Heritage Coastline, the Cheviots and Northumberland National Park. Within Newcastle there is a huge amount to discover. The bridges, quayside, sweeping Georgian streets, Castle Keep and St Nicholas Cathedral are legendary landmarks. But alongside these are modern, must-see landmarks: BALTIC, the world's largest contemporary art centre; Sir Norman Foster's billowing glass and steel concert hall, the Sage Gateshead; the Millennium Bridge; and, three miles to the south, Antony Gormley's Angel of the North. Museums - from the Centre for Life to children's books - galleries, sculpture trails, theatres, designer shops as well as the fabled bar and café society will leave few idle moments.
